Janet Gibson started a newspaper at age 11 with a group of kids who were determined to change the world. By 19, she was writing professionally for newspapers and magazines. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, wanderlust struck. From the Carolinas to Texas, and Washington, D.C. to Florida, she seized a variety of adventures to become an award-winning reporter and editor. She ultimately co-owned and published a high-end lifestyle magazine in Sarasota, Florida.

Like so many in the print world, Janet found herself reinventing as a marketing professional for media and corporate entities, including those specializing in real estate and entertainment. She also has led teams to international, national and regional marketing awards.

Now with her Planet Janet Media & Marketing, she works closely with clients nationally to tell their own unique stories. She specializes in “everything written,” creating content that may be utilized for magazines, websites, social media, marketing materials and other professional purposes. Janet also works with a network of award-winning photographers and graphic designers to serve clients’ select needs. Her goal is to help others achieve stellar success – and to make a difference through the power of bold and effective storytelling.
