Growing up in Fayetteville, Alex McFadyen says real estate was a frequent topic of conversation around the dining room table. He has an uncle who is a seasoned real estate broker specializing in residential properties, and another uncle who works on the commercial side.
“I was always interested in real estate,” Alex says, “and I wanted to follow in my family’s footsteps.”
To prepare, Alex studied business entrepreneurship and communications at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. During college, he got his feet wet working in property management and vacation rentals. In his senior year, he completed real estate school and went on to pass his state and national exams to become an agent.
He is now affiliated with Coldwell Banker Advantage in his hometown. The office has been named the #1 Coldwell Banker office in North America for several consecutive years.
Alex is committed to guiding home buyers with what is likely the most important investment of their lives – and also assisting home sellers, so they can move on to the next chapter in their lives.
“What I enjoy most about real estate,” he says, “are the people I meet. Everyone has their own story, and each person is unique.”
With each client, his goal is to provide exceptional knowledge, service and follow-up. He describes himself as “motivated, direct, responsive, reliable and productive.”
Alex also believes in being active in his community. A cause close to his
heart is fund-raising for primary pulmonary heart disease, which took his mom’s life in 1998.
When not working, Alex enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends and watching sports.
